AUGUST 31st B-DAY!!!!!

So my birthday was yesterday(August 31st) , and I went out with a good girlfriend of mine. She is the best, we were living it up in NYC’s Houston for dinner. I will have my big celebration this Saturday. I plan on wearing a red vint 80’s dress with black lace tights. Yayyy
I feel like my brothers banged up car behind me in this pic compliments my ruff girly swag in this outfit. I don’t conform to seasonal rules of fashion, I just follow my personal style; boots in the summer are a reflection of just that…… ;0)

My 1 year NapAniversery yall.....

So I was going natural for over a year in 2007. One day I told myself that I wanted to wear my hair in a ntural state with out pressing it. Did a style BIG CHOP on Aug 2008/22 and today means my aniversery. I am sooo excited about the growth, but I have cut it 3 time since the big chop to shape it up. Can't wait to see how it looks next year......

I talk about hairon this blog because I feel that your hair is a part of your style. It is an extension of your swag. My hair fits my attitude and personal style. ;0)

Bad hair day

So I was having some hair issues today, but all it not lost. I just wear it with my swag as I always do.

I am in the process of buying myself a little birthday gift... A Casio Gold Watch is what I am looking for. Which ones are you feeling? I like all of them but I am leaning towards the first one tho....

B-day plans?

So.... I need to find out what I am going to do on my birthday weekend....

I know that I will be going to dinner with friends on my birthday, but I still need to figure out where I am partying. I am thinking about going to The View Club in the city, but I still am not sure....

I found a great vint dress to wear to the club part of my b-day but I need to get the zipper in the back fixed. I don't mind! For a dress for $3.99 circa 80's, that was a great find... It is a strapless number that is just above the knees with a small slit in the back. What really sold me about the dress was the back beading on the front side of the dress, located at the ribs. That part incorporates a drapping that is sooo chic. I think I will match it with my lace LaPearla tights and some black shoes (still in search for some shoes)... IN LOVE!!! Can't wait to post that...hehe

Dancing is my life! &Hair

Some of you may not know, but I am a dancer! Dancing is my life! I love it and can't live without it. I was thinking about "A Chorus Line" the movie today, and say to myself, "I wish I had done more with my dancing." I guess I have a little to much Time on my hands....hehe

HAIR UPDATE!!!!

I just took out my braids today, I am free to wash out my scalp now...yaaaayyyyy! Thank God!

My scalp was really getting bad. I plan to post some styles before I put braid back in my hair in a week.

hATe tO SoUNd SaD aNd BLuE..... because I am actually elated that I have no drama in my life. But sometime I feel like I should be making more money by now, and I should have a good guy to share it with. But I am still in school and working on that career to get more money, and the guys I meet just don't do it for me. I guess I have just been a lone too long that I am content with having no one around. Just thought I would tell you guys a little about myself. As for the fashion side of Alison, I have been get some new and used things to keep up with my creative style mind. I will post some pictures soon. I just don't go out that much but I am feeling like I should just look FAB everyday and not just when me and the girls go out. So I will be tapping into looking sharp every day I get up in the morning. I hate wearing my good clothes to school because I have a lot of dance classes and I just end up taking it all off and going home after. But I am going to try to work with that hate of mine. Well until next time fashion guru's......... muah tehe

Glam-ed Up

Just a little something I wore to a friends party at a lounge. The dress is from Forever 21 retailed st $25. Great buy and I looked FAB/Chic. A very classy look over all. I wear my La Perla tights I got from Off Saks years ago and my Steven black patten leater shoes with the light wooden heel. They were on sale at Centary 21 for $25. Chanel pearls and a hair head band. I really did not want to go to the party but I did and had fun. Not to mention I looked FAB. tehehe

I got the Blues...

So... I saw these tight and just had to have them. Just looking back on the years and felt blue about some things that I did not get to do. So these tights rep my sadness and the yellows rep a new day, a new year, a new me and a new goal. These shoes are vint shoes I got years ago, do you love them? My Funny B-day Story:

We ended up going to another club because the we wanted to go to was racist... (They told us that we had to by 4 bottles which in NYC is over $300 a pop and I was with 3 people......) THEN, they let in some people that were Asian and told them nothing about buying any bottles. So we said "to the left to the left with that statement!

So we went in this other club around the way..... At the door there was this big green lolly Cock next to the door man. Me and my two girls said to him "hey what is that all about" and he licked it then smiled. We laughed and went in then we realized that it was a gay night.... Everyone paid $15 already so we just partied with the gay guys and had fun.. And my straight male friend was getting hit on all night. More happened that night but I just wanted to keep this short. LOL

Cost of the night: Priceless
